The Great Human Adventure

They say there are eight billion of us—half the humans who have ever lived. This fact coincides with troubling developments: climate change, species extinction, energy crisis, financial collapse, rampant consumerism, creative decline, individualism, genetic deterioration, and institutional inertia. Our reaction to this “perfect storm” will determine whether the 21st century is worth living and whether we can even survive as a species. This book seeks to explore why we do what we do. Where does this fatal logic come from? And where could we go if we learned to change it?
