Four Stories

Here are four tales by Liniers—two previously unpublished, and two first featured in the Macanudo strip published in La Nación. “Abajópolis,” “The Tenant,” “The Dangers of Falling Upward,” and “Journey, by Alfonsina Storni” are inspired by the Argentine poet herself, by singer Tom Waits, and by comic artists Shel Silverstein and Edward Gorey. The result is a fresh twist on Liniers’ ever-imaginative, gentle, and instantly recognizable style—now an essential part of Latin American literary illustration.
