Agustina Guerrero

Agustina Guerrero was born in the small Argentine city of Chacabuco and has lived in Barcelona since 2003. After working as a graphic designer, she made the wise decision to dedicate herself to illustration. Her books have been translated into several languages and she is one of the best-selling illustrators whose talent is also acclaimed by critics. She recently received the El Corte Inglés One Year of Books Award for Best Comic for La compañera. When someone asks her what she does for a living, she sometimes explains it with little drawings.

Reviews

Agustina has always managed to convey an accessible, relatable style [...] where nudity feels natural—few authors can give it the ease that she does with her pencil, just as easily as she creates a page full of poetry.
Cómic para todos
El viaje is a gem, a marvelous book that marks Agustina’s consecration. It’s a beautiful book that evokes a sense of freedom and makes you feel close to the people you love—especially now, after we’ve all made such an enormous inner journey.
Nuria Labari
This kind of transparency before the public is quite unusual. [...] A book infused with love and tenderness. [...] Congratulations, Agustina, for this journey.
La Cultural (“10 New Comics You Can’t Miss”)
Because of her humor, the energy and intensity of her drawings, her witty strips and, above all, the way she bares herself in each illustration [...] she has become one of my go-to illustrators.
Ana Rivera Magaña, Diari de Tarragona
A small urban heroine, always on the verge of a nervous breakdown, who lives, survives, laughs and cries in a world that so often overwhelms her—and in which her readers see themselves reflected.
Álvaro Soto, Las Provincias
